Whoo! Progress!

I finished my fantasy story "The Girl and the Pond" yesterday. Had my mom read it - she actually liked it! Whoo! So I submitted it along to a market, and I should be getting a response within a week or two.

Back in it, folks.

Noteworthy Revelation

I just realized that Metallica and writing horror literature make for a great mix. Fun fun.

Don't Forget Your Gasmask

All right.

So, I'm back. Last time you heard from me, I was complaining about everything. Thankfully for you, I'm now living with my mom, in San Francisco, I'm happy now, and thus I really don't have much to complain about.

Unless, of course, if I'm being emo.

But I doubt that will be happening too often, unless I happen to be listening to My Chemical Romance during one of my posts. And since I've recently experienced a musical epiphany (now I'm listening to whatever the hell I please) that could be very likely. Of course, I could keep on contradicting myself, but I figure you've already got better things to read than this blog, so let's move on, shall we?

I haven't written fiction in a while - mainly poetry and songs, and I've been thinking more about being a rockstar lately, rather than a professional writer, thanks to my taking up the bass. And I haven't been reading very much either. I've started about five books, and have successfully finished none of them. Now I'm working my way through Erik de Bie's Ghostwalker and J.G. Ballard's Crash. Ah, nothing better than reading sword duels and vengeful ghosts along with a bit of homoerotic car crashes for spice.

Anyway, I'm hoping to change all that. I've got a couple story ideas lined up for wrecking, and hope to get a consistent writing schedule going soon. Unfortunately, between school, bass-playing, being sexy, girlfriend and friends in Sacramento, and trying to get a job, that doesn't leave a lot of time for writing. But I'm a pretty impressive dude, so let's see how I pull it off.

So instead of being emo most of the time throughout these posts, I'm mainly updating this blog with writing and/or music updates. Hopefully that will brighten your day more than suicide wishes. But hey, there's always a possibility...

Anyway. Till next time I suppose, folks.
